Fluke 225C and 215C Color Oscilloscopes are based on the 199C and 196C Color Oscilloscopes and offer all the functionality of these instruments, with powerful test capabilities for a wide variety of industrial bus systems. When in Bus Health Test mode, these oscilloscopes automatically analyze electrical signals passing through the bus and compare parameters to standard values described in industrial standards for that type of bus. In addition, the user can optionally select an "eye diagram" display for a visual check of overall signal quality. Based on the comparison with appropriate industrial standards or user-set reference values, parameters are automatically rated as "good", "weak" or "bad". Each measured parameter is displayed together with its instantaneous value, minimum and maximum statistical values over a period of time, and the reference value used for the evaluation, allowing the user to quickly get a handle on the status of the system. Test parameters include signal amplitude, offset, rise and fall times, jitter, and noise levels (both in-band and out-of-band), as required by relevant industrial standards.
