This document is a preliminary specification for the TDA4858, an economy autosync deflection controller. It has full horizontal (H) and vertical (V) autosync capability and can be completely DC controlled. The chip has excellent geometry control functions, such as automatic correction of the East-West (EW) parabola during adjustment of vertical size and vertical shift. It also has a flexible switched mode power supply (SMPS) function block for feedback and feed forward converters and has X-ray protection. The chip is packaged in a SDIP32 package.
