The LT 1 is an electronic lamp tester that can be used to test gas-filled high- and low-pressure lamps. The following lamps can be tested: Mercury low-pressure lamps, high power mercury lamps, mercury medium-pressure lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps, fluorescent tubes, neon tubes, metal halide lamps, and low-pressure sodium lamps. When the lamp contacts are touched with the test tip, the gas in the lamp is ionized and a light is emitted. In addition, the device can also be used for voltage testing and continuity testing. A flashlight is also integrated. To avoid injury or damage to the device, the enclosed operating instructions must be observed.
