SiGe SE4100L Data Sheet
SE4100L is a low power GPS receiver that supports L1 signal reception at 1575.42MHz. The chip uses a low IF architecture and integrates amplifier, oscillator, mixer and demodulation functions. The external component count is low, requiring only a 16.368MHz crystal and 11 passive components in its minimum configuration. The chip uses a 24-pin LPCC package and has a power consumption of only 30mW. SE4100L supports two digitally controlled shutdown modes, which can completely power off the chip or only power off the 16MHz clock supply to the baseband processor. SE4100L also supports a switchable gain LNA, which can be used with a local passive antenna or a remote active antenna without changing the circuit configuration. The on-chip VCO and PLL generate the required LO frequency and are locked to an external crystal.
