This paper describes how a mobile ultrasonic handheld device was developed using the LabVIEW Embedded development platform. The device features a Blackfin processor and the ZBrain system solution, and includes powerful functions such as 25MHz signal generation, 50MHz data acquisition, and 24-hour mobile power.
