AlphaLISA Assay Development Guide

Update: 27 October, 2023

This guide describes the principle and application of the AlphaLISA chemiluminescent immunoassay. The AlphaLISA assay is a chemiluminescent immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of target molecule concentrations. The AlphaLISA assay uses a pair of antibodies, one antibody that binds to the target molecule at one site and one antibody that binds to the target molecule at a different site. These antibodies are attached to AlphaLISA donor beads and AlphaLISA acceptor beads, respectively. When the antibodies bind to the target molecule, they cause the donor beads and acceptor beads to aggregate, which produces a fluorescent signal. The fluorescence intensity is proportional to the target molecule concentration.
