ST ST70134 - ST70135A handbook

Update: 29 September, 2023

The document describes a complete chip set for ADSL CPE modems. It complies with the ANSI T1.413 ISSUE 1 and ISSUE 2 standards, as well as the G.992.1 (full rate) and G.992.2 (G.LITE) standards. The chip set supports data rates of up to 8Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream, with 32Kbps granularity. It includes built-in ATM transport and supports adaptive rate mode in 32Mbps increments. The chip set also features frequency division multiplexing (FDM) for high robustness in the presence of crosstalk, Reed-Solomon forward error correction, trellis coding and decoding, and programmable simultaneous support of interleaved and non-interleaved channels (dual latency). It offers various ATM overhead framing modes, bit stream mode capability for STM transport, and direct connection to ATM systems via UTOPIA interface. The chip set is designed for applications such as high-speed internet access, remote access to corporate networks, video-on-demand over twisted pair, CPE ADSL modems and routers, ADSL PC NICs, and G.LITE CPE splitterless applications.
