This document describes the Arbor Lodge/Kenton NET emergency response guidelines, including the importance of safety, doing the greatest good for the greatest number of people, and documenting everything. When deciding whether to deploy, consider the severity of the disaster, and only self-deploy if there is a major disaster and communication systems are down. Before deploying, you should first take care of your family's needs and secure your home/building. Then, check in with the NET team using the Communications Protocol (see below). Put on personal protective gear (NET ID, vest, helmet, etc) and a NET backpack with a radio and water. When deploying, you should leave a note on your front door that includes your status, time of departure, expected location/return time, and best contact options. As you move through the neighborhood, assist and document, including helping neighbors and enlisting their help and performing scene size-up and securing dangerous areas.
